1Overview#
For roofers and roofing contractors. Customers say what they need, how urgent it is, the roof type, area, storeys, roof age, problems they see and if it's an insurance claim, with photos of the roof, damage and any ceiling stains.

Why these questions
- Urgency: "Emergency, leaking now" needs a call, not a message.
- Roof type and area set the materials and size.
- Storeys decide scaffolding or ladder access.
- Insurance claim customers often need photos and a written quote.
3Set it up#
- In your dashboard, open Business details, choose Roofing as your industry and save. Your roofing form is ready straight away, with the settings below in Settings.
- Settings → Region & photos: keep Minimum photos at 1. The photo tip asks customers not to climb onto the roof.
- Settings → Region & photos: keep Satellite view on: customers can draw their roof area.
- Settings → Page texts: put your emergency number in the help box if you offer call-outs.
Recommended theme: Professional
Roofing is a serious, high-value job. Professional's structured form builds trust; Classic also works well for repair-focused businesses.

5Reading a request#
Each request opens with a quick assessment: coloured flags for what matters most in this trade.
- Urgency: Emergency, leaking now is flagged as a bigger or more valuable job.
- Problems: Leaks / water inside, Storm, hail or wind damage is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Services: Full replacement, New roof is flagged as a bigger or more valuable job.
- Pitch: Steep is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Roof area: flagged by size (anything above 80 m² stands out).
- Height: 3 or more is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Tear-off: Two or more is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Access: any other answer is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Insurance: Yes is flagged as a bigger or more valuable job.
- Claim: Claim approved, Assessor / adjuster has visited is flagged as a bigger or more valuable job.
- Photos: green when every photo tile is filled, amber when only some are.
- Inspection: highlighted when it is today or tomorrow, so you can plan quickly.
What to look at first
- Emergency requests first: call them.
- Problems like sagging can mean structural damage.
- 3 or more storeys needs scaffolding.
- Insurance: Yes means they'll want a detailed written quote.

6Pricing your quote#
Repairs are priced per job; replacements per area.
- Repairs: a call-out price plus materials, based on photos.
- Replacements: price per m²/ft² by roof type, plus scaffolding.
- Add removal and disposal of the old roof.
- Offer an inspection when the photos aren't clear.
These are ways to think about price, not market prices. Use your own costs and local rates.
