Why these questions

  • Urgency and can you turn the water off? tell you at a glance who needs a call back right now.
  • What it involves (toilet, taps, water heater, drain…) lets you bring the right parts on the first visit.
  • Several drains blocked at once usually means the main line: it's flagged so you can price for it.
  • Water heater type and age decide repair or replace before you leave the van.
  • Refit layout shows whether pipes and drains need to move, the biggest cost in a bathroom or kitchen.

3Set it up#

  1. In your dashboard, open Business details, choose Plumbing as your industry and save. Your plumbing form is ready straight away, with the settings below in Settings.
  2. Settings → Form fields: remove jobs you don't take on (for example refits or drains).
  3. Settings → Prices & tax: add your call-out price and common jobs, so itemised quotes take seconds.
  4. Settings → Page texts: only mention licences or registrations you really hold.

6Pricing your quote#

Price by the job, the parts and the time, plus a call-out where you charge one.

  • Simple repairs: a call-out or first-hour price plus parts.
  • Installs: the fitting (yours or the customer's) plus labour and any pipe changes.
  • Blockages: a set price per drain, more for the main line or a camera survey.
  • Refits: by room, with extra for moving the layout.

These are ways to think about price, not market prices. Use your own costs and local rates.
