1Overview#
For flooring fitters and flooring shops. Customers say whether they need supply and fit, fitting only, sanding and refinishing or a repair, which flooring (wood, laminate, luxury vinyl, sheet vinyl, carpet or tiles), the rooms and the floor area, how many stairs, what is on the floor now and whether to remove it, what is under it, whether it's level, underfloor heating, the state of the wood for refinishing, extras like skirting, door bars and underlay, whether the rooms will be empty and when they'd like it done, with photos of the rooms, the floor and the stairs.

Why these questions
- Supply and fit is flagged hot: you sell the flooring as well as the fitting.
- Floor area and stairs price most jobs straight from the request.
- Uneven floors are flagged, so you can add leveling before you quote.
- Underfloor heating is flagged: check the flooring and fitting method suit it.
- Removing the old floor and moving furniture are extra time you can price in.
3Set it up#
- In your dashboard, open Business details, choose Flooring as your industry and save. Your flooring form is ready straight away, with the settings below in Settings.
- Settings → Prices & tax: add your prices per area for each flooring, fitting only, leveling, stairs and removal.
- Form fields: remove what you don't fit (for example tiles or carpet).
- Settings → Page texts: mention the brands you supply and whether you offer a measuring visit.
Recommended theme: Sepia

Each request opens with a quick assessment: colored flags for what matters most in this trade.
- Area: flagged by size (anything above 15 m² stands out).
- Service: Supply and fit is flagged as a bigger or more valuable job.
- Flooring: Not sure, advise me is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Old flooring: Yes is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Level: Some dips or bumps is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Underfloor heating: Yes is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Furniture: shown for quick reading.
- Start: As soon as possible is flagged as a bigger or more valuable job.
- Photos: green when every photo tile is filled, amber when only some are.

6Pricing your quote#
Price per area for the flooring and fitting, plus preparation, stairs and extras.
- Supply and fit: per area for each flooring type.
- Fit only: per area, a little more for herringbone or tiles.
- Preparation: leveling and removing the old floor per area.
- Stairs, skirting and door bars: per stair, per length or each.
These are ways to think about price, not market prices. Use your own costs and local rates.
