1Overview#
For electricians and electrical contractors. Customers say how urgent it is and what they need (fault finding, sockets or switches, lighting, a panel upgrade, rewiring, appliance circuits, inspections, alarms, outdoor power, renovation wiring or an EV charger), the symptoms of a fault, how many points, the current fuse box or panel, what an inspection is for, the property's size and age, and whether it will be lived in during a rewire, with photos of the problem, the panel and the room.

2What your customers are asked#
The form has 2 steps plus photos, then sending. Everything below can be renamed, hidden or made optional in Settings → Form fields.

Why these questions
- Sparks, burning smell or a shock are flagged as a danger: call back first and tell them to switch off.
- How many points (sockets, switches, lights) sizes most small jobs straight from the request.
- An old fuse box is flagged: it often needs replacing before new work.
- Property size and age price inspections and rewires.
- What the inspection is for (sale, landlord, insurance) tells you which certificate they need.
3Set it up#
- In your dashboard, open Business details, choose Electrical Services as your industry and save. Your electrical services form is ready straight away, with the settings below in Settings.
- Settings → Form fields: remove work you don't do (for example EV chargers or CCTV).
- Settings → Prices & tax: add your call-out, per-point prices and inspections.
- Settings → Page texts: only mention registrations and schemes you belong to.

5Reading a request#
Each request opens with a quick assessment: coloured flags for what matters most in this trade.
- Urgency: Emergency: no power, sparks or burning smell is flagged as a bigger or more valuable job; In the next few days is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Fault: No power (part or all) is flagged as a bigger or more valuable job; Breaker or fuse keeps tripping is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Work: Rewiring (full or part), Electrical panel upgrade, Extension or renovation wiring is flagged as a bigger or more valuable job.
- Panel: Old fuse panel (fuses) is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Property age: Over 50 years is flagged as needing attention (cost, access or risk).
- Points: flagged by size (anything above 5 stands out).
- Photos: green when every photo tile is filled, amber when only some are.
- Visit: highlighted when it is today or tomorrow, so you can plan quickly.
What to look at first
- Burning smell or shock is flagged red: it's a safety call, phone them.
- No power is flagged hot.
- Rewires and panel upgrades are flagged as bigger jobs.
- Check the panel photo for its type and spare ways.

6Pricing your quote#
Price small jobs per point, faults by call-out and time, and big jobs by the property.
- Sockets, switches and lights: a price per point plus any fittings.
- Faults: a call-out or fault-finding price, then the repair.
- Panel upgrades and rewires: by property size and age.
- Inspections: a set price by property size.
These are ways to think about price, not market prices. Use your own costs and local rates.
